DESCRIPTION:CRS ギャラリーでは、「The Color of Energy 」と題しまして、Janet Morganによるペインティングを3月10日から5月8日まで展示いたします。\nまた、3月10日、6時から8時に彼女を迎えてのオープニングレセプションを行いますので、是非ご参加ください。 \nARTIST STATEMENT \nWe think of our bodies as solid\, enclosed\, finite\, self sufficient\, contained. But we share many things\, visible and not\, with the world around us. We share energy of all kinds with other beings\, plants\, machines\, nature and the cosmos. We take for granted our life partner — our physical being — who makes life possible and carries us through this world for decades and sometimes for a century. We move not through the world but as part of it\, sharing breath\, resources\, spirit and life energy. \nMy artwork is grounded in the body\, the kinesthetic: movement\, music\, and dance — and in the body’s subtle forces — emotional\, spiritual and healing energies. The quest for the underlying energy source runs through all of my work — like the Sufis I find no separation between the divine and the body. And why is this work be important? We live in a time of much anger and violence\, and communication is often disembodied. The disconnect between ourselves and the natural world is causing serious problems. We need to come home to our bodies\, our animal-ness\, our human-ness\, our body-temples. \nMy artistic practice covers a vast range of work\, mainly painting and drawing\, but also community environmental art and collaboration. The art includes landscapes painted all over the world\, and a few large series of works grounded in the body: 200 large watercolors of traditional and new deities (I teach a workshop on making your own deities)\, wild women\, dancers and now art about the body’s energy. I have enjoyed collaborations with dancers\, scientists\, movement teachers\, and writers. I have taught at the Rubin Museum of Art\, The Chapel of Sacred Mirrors\, the Art Students League and the Canyons of Utah. \nhttp://www.janetmorgan-art.net

DESCRIPTION:3月10日（土）午後8時より、CRS＆一音一会共催による「Remembering 3/11- CRS ヒーリングサークル・宮城県石巻へのサポート」と題した慈善イベントを行います。 \n2011年3月11日に起きた東日本大震災にて被災を受けた東北地方の人々と、どこにいても心で繋がりながら、共に祈り続けていることをこのイベントを通じて、再確認したいと思います。東北の人々の無限の強さと愛を思い、歌い、踊り、演奏し、鼓舞しながら、大きな輪になって集まります。誰もがこのサークルに参加することができます。ドラムや笛、チャイムなどの楽器をお持ちの方は是非お持ちください。\nこのサークルでは、経験を問わず、どなたでも愛を同じように分かち合うことができます。\n自分自身を解放し、お互いを受け入れることを学びながら、潜在的にもともとはひとつだったことを共に思い出しましょう。\nLale Sayoko (Bella Gaia) 、 Shoko Tamai ( Ninja Ballet )によるダンスパフォーマンス、 Saco Yasuma & Sakurako Kataoka、LayLa Lulla、 Kana Kamitsubo Markovic によるミュージカルアクト公演も行われます。  \n参加費は$20（ドネーション制、さらなる寄付も大歓迎です！）。参加費100%全てを宮城県石巻市雄勝町にある非営利団体 “O-Link House” へ寄付いたします。O-Link House では会議場、カルチャースクール、展示やイベント企画、上映会など様々な用途に対応し、人々のコミュニティーを繋げる拠点となることを目指している団体です。地盤沈下により低地が津波危険区域に指定されたことで、仮設住宅が離れた地区ごとに建てられ、昔から続いていた一部のコミュニティーは分散されています。こうした状況を背景に、2012年8月より、コミュニティースペース「O-link House」の建設が始まりました。https://www.o-link.org\nまた、このイベントの前（午後6～8時）には、次回のCRSギャラリーアーティスト・Janet  Morganによる “ The Color of Energy — Recent Paintings “ のオープニングレセプション（無料）も行われます。ヒーリングサークルの前にワインを片手にアーティストと団欒されてはいかがですか？\n予約不要。

DESCRIPTION:3月15日（木） 午後7時30分より、楽器の生演奏と旋舞（円を描くように回ること）を通して、私たち自身の祈りを共有する瞑想イベントを開催します。 \nそしてこの祈りを通して、あまらちゃんとそのご家族をサポートします。\nあまらちゃんは、CRSのお仲間ウィリアムズ・ケンジ＆小夜子ご夫妻の5歳になる長女で、2014年に脳腫瘍と診断されたのち、現在も治療や手術を乗り越え続けています。\nCRSでは「あまらちゃん祈りの輪」として、世界各地に住む約170名と一緒に毎週木曜日午後 9:30pm（NY時間）から10分ほど、それぞれの場所で瞑想と祈りのひとときを持っています。どこにいても心で繋がりながら、共に祈っていることを再確認する場として、この祈りのイベントを定期的に行っています。 \nドラムや笛、チャイムなどの楽器をお持ちの方は是非お持ちください。経験不問。自分自身を解放し、お互いを受け入れることを学びながら、潜在的にもともとはひとつだったことを共に思い出しましょう。 \n参加費は、前日まで$20、当日支払いは$25です。参加費の50%は、あまらちゃんのご家族へ寄付されます。 \nくるくると回り始めると、めまいがしたりバランスを崩すかもしれませんが、自分自身を信頼し、旋回を続ける中で、その中心にある心の静けさに気づくと共に、計り知れない大きなエネルギーに包まれ、繋がっている感覚を実感できるでしょう。 \nIf you are quiet and in a state of prayer when you Turn\, offering everything of yourself to God\, then when your body is spinning\, there is a completely still point in the center… The heavens respond; and all the invisible kingdoms join in the dance. SUMMARY:Song and Sound: Meditation and Listening Journey
DESCRIPTION:CRS invites you to the next installment of our meditation and live music series with singer/songwriter/trumpeter Rhys Tivey & friends (vocalist Joy Elysse and guitarist Thomas Monkell). These are their first full-band shows since June\, so they’ll be playing some new songs\, many of which were first written at Hawthorne Valley Farm this past summer. \nThe program will take place in the award-winning White Room at CRS on Friday\, March 16\, 2018 at 6 pm. Tickets are $20 and are available by phone (212-677-8621)\, online and at the door. \nOut of the deep relaxation and stillness of meditation\, Rhys Tivey and friends tap into the healing qualities of music and storytelling to perform a careful selection of originals and cover songs and lead participants on a folk-fusion song journey. This concert is an opportunity for participants to connect within themselves\, and with one another through sharing before and after\, and with the experience of song-listening. \nJoy Elysse is a Brooklyn-based vocalist and composer who creates cinematic\, genre-bending music. After receiving her BA in English Literature from Princeton University\, Elysse has subsequently spent her time in NYC exploring wide-ranging sounds and styles while performing in jazz\, folk\, indie-soul\, and psychedelic salsa groups. She’s taken cues from these many influences to develop an eclectic\, yet fundamentally emotive songwriting style propelled by her passion for words and imagery. Elysse’s debut EP is set to arrive in early Summer 2018. http://elyssemusic.com \nThomas Monkell is a NYC based guitarist\, composer\, and arranger. Active on the NYC musical theatre circuit\, Tom has played guitar for the Broadway productions of Wicked\, The Book of Mormon\, Matilda\, Chicago\, Dear Evan Hansen\, Cats\, and Come From Away. Tom’s guitar orchestrations were featured in the New York Times Critics’ Pick Off-Broadway production of The Pen as part of the 2016 Inner Voices new musical series. SUMMARY:ワンドロップ聖歌隊ニューヨーク発足　参加者募集
DESCRIPTION:昨年、CRSのホリディ・パーティでのミニコンサート、パーティ翌日には講演会とコンサートを行った「ワンドロップ聖歌隊」のニューヨーク支部がこの度結成、活動をスタートします。 \nこの日本発祥の「ワンドロップ聖歌隊」は、いま私たち人間が生かされている生命の尊さを歌を通じて伝えていこうと東京で2年前に結成され、現在では地方での支部を合わせて300名を超えるメンバーが集う合唱団です。 \n「ワンドロップ」とは、人間誰しもが心に持っている一滴の尊い存在のような良心のことを指しており、それを見つめ直し、生命や愛、母なる地球について深く考えていくという願いが込められています。 \nそして、この合唱団のメインソングである「生命交響曲」（宮川昭夫作曲・清水浦安＆愛宕なみ作詞）は、オーケストラの伴奏がついた大作で、ベートーベンの「第九」が世界でドイツ語で歌われているように、日本語で歌って世界へ広めていくという理想の元に作曲されたオリジナルの交響曲です。 \n今年から日本のみならず世界中でワンドロップ聖歌隊を結成してこの曲を歌う動きが広がり、すでにアメリカ西海岸・ハワイ・イスタンブールなどの地で実現しつつあります。\nここニューヨークでも、そのような海外活動の拠点として支部が結成されることとなり、３月１８日から毎週日曜マンハッタン内で練習を開始することとなり、参加者を募集します。 \n合唱指導は、日本人として初めてアメリカ賞（プロオーケストラ指揮部門）を受賞した指揮者・武蔵野学院大学客員研究員の伊藤玲阿奈（れおな）氏が行います。\n伊藤氏はワンドロップ聖歌隊の理念に共感し、アマチュアの指導に反対するエージェントの意向を押し切って、五年ぶりにアマチュア団体の合唱指導を引き受けて下さいました。\n合唱未経験で楽譜を読めなくても、命の尊さについて真剣な想いを持っている方なら誰でも参加可能で、平和コンサートなどのステージで大オーケストラと一緒に歌えるようになるまで懇切丁寧な本格的指導を受けることが出来ます。 \nレッスンは基本的に毎週行われますが、オンラインでの練習音源を使うことでご自分のペースで参加が可能です。\n一緒に楽しく歌って、生命の尊さを伝えていける仲間がたくさん集まることを願っています。\n \n＊日本語名称　ワンドロップ聖歌隊ニューヨーク（ワンドロップ聖歌隊NY）\n＊日時：３月１８日（日）午後１時～３時　以降、毎週日曜日を予定\n＊練習場所：CRS 　123 4 th Ave. 2F (またはピアノのあるリハーサルスタジオの２ヶ所を予定)\n＊参加費の形態：事務手数料・練習音源使用料・楽譜代　＄４０（初回のみ）\n毎回払い＄２０　または　月謝（４回）＄６０ 　を選択可能\nお申込みや詳細は　nyonedrop@gmail.com （事務局長：中村）まで\n＊「ワンドロップ聖歌隊ニューヨーク」は、いかなる宗教や疑似科学団体とも無関係です。また、活動においては勧誘行為や強制行為をすることはなく、合唱団員も禁じられています。 \n伊藤 玲阿奈（指揮者） プロフィール \n福岡県田川市でアマチュアオーケストラ「筑豊青少年交響楽団」を運営する家に生まれ、４歳からピアノなど音楽教育を受ける。桂そうばと同級生で、西南中学（福岡）と青雲高校（長崎）で共に学んだ。ジョージ・ワシントン大学国際関係学部を卒業後、音楽家になることを決意し、ニューヨークへ。ジュリアード音楽院とマネス音楽院で作曲や指揮を学び、アロン・コープランド音楽院にて修士号（オーケストラ指揮）を取得。２００８年３月、ＮＹゴールドシュタイン劇場でモーツァルト「フィガロの結婚」のオペラ公演でプロデビュー。高く評価され、同年６月にはカーネギーホールで単独公演を行う栄誉を与えられた。２０１１年から１３年にかけて、クロアチアのザグレブ・シンフォニエッタ音楽監督を務め、世界遺産エウフラシウス聖堂などクロアチア各地で指揮。１３年３月、日本クロアチア国交２０周年記念演奏会を両国政府関係者やＥＵ各国大使など列席のもとで指揮。当時のクロアチア大統領より公式会見に招かれた。２０１４年から１５年のシーズンでは、国連協会が後援する「世界平和デーコンサート」「国際平和コンサート」に出演。紛争国の音楽家や各国の子供達などを指揮し、「青年平和音楽大使コンクール」の審査員も二度にわたり務めた。２０１４年、全米の音楽家を対象にした「アメリカ賞 The American Prize」（プロオーケストラ指揮部門）を受賞。同年、米国公益財団法人ハーモニーフォーピース財団より「ピースメッセンジャー」の称号を授与・任命された。現在、ＮＹ在住。ＮＹハーモニックバンド音楽監督を務め、カーネギーホールなどで演奏している。昨年にコンサートの模様がＮＨＫの全国ニュースで取り上げられた。２０１６年より武蔵野学院大学ＳＡＦ（客員研究員）。CATM New York所属。
