SUMMARY:Exhibition:  "Debris of Angel" by Su
DESCRIPTION:CRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing) presents an exhibition of painted and collaged images of angels assembled from photographs of the debris of the Great East Japan Earthquake of 2011 by the Iwate\, Japan-based artist Su. Much of this vast quantity debris has accumulated along the coast of Japan and though the waves and the weather slowly break them apart\, many forms are still recognizable as the door of someone’s house or a family’s beloved vase or shrine or jewelry box\, fragments evoking memories of lives lost and torn asunder. Su believes that by transforming these remnants into new works of beauty\, it is possible to renew the love and hope in the hearts of the people who experienced this loss. \nHiromi Suzuki \nSu was born in 1970 in Iwate prefecture in Japan and lives as a transsexual. He is half way through a journey to discover what is the “essence of living.” Even though he has been familiar with pictures since his childhood\, one of Picasso’s pictures gave him a shock when he saw it in his art text book in his junior high school. \nIt gave him the message that “It’s ok to draw free! It’s ok to live free!” and it freed him from the belief that drawing should be realistic. \nAfter he grew up\, Su established his career as a nurse. But he couldn’t stop his enthusiasm for drawing pictures and expressing himself creatively. From 2003 he started to study art design by taking correspondence courses through Kyoto University of Art and Design and to learn western painting by correspondence through Musashino Art University. As he continued to focus his investigations on what is the essence of living\, he began to bring DNA and crystals into his artworks. He also began producing self-portraits. Su believes that Art can have a universal meaning and connect with people across borders. SUMMARY:鈴木裕己 個展 ＜ガレキの天使＞
DESCRIPTION:私たちはどんな状況でも美しい景色を創造することが出来る。 \n3.11の東日本大震災では多くの方が、身近な人や家を失いました。大きな地震と津波、福島の原発の影響で海岸に残された大量のガレキは人々を困らせました。しかし、それらのガレキも以前は人々の生活を支える柱やモノたちだったのです。\n壊れてしまったモノたち、壊れてしまった関係、姿を変えたもの、それらを一つ一つを愛を見出し再構成し、美しいモノへ創造する。\n作品は東日本大震災の際に実際に撮影した写真を紙にプリントし、何度も重ねてキャンバスに貼ったコラージュと絵を組み合わせて天使の姿を造っています。 \nどんなに辛い状況でも美しい情景を心に描いて行くことは出来ます。\nそして心に描いたものを実現して行くことが出来ます。\nこれらの作品が明るい光と共に見る人の世界にも光が差して行くように祈りを込めて制作しました。 \nアーティスト・ステートメント\n鈴木裕己（Artist Sue）\n中学の美術の教科書で見たピカソの絵に衝撃を受け、『自由に描いていいんだよ！自由に生きていいんだよ！』というメッセージを受け取る。\n社会に出て看護師として仕事をしていたが、絵を描きたい、表現したいと言う気持ちが強くなり、2000年より京都造形芸術大学の通信教育でデザインを、2003年より武蔵野美術大学の通信教育で洋画を学ぶ。\n本質とは何かを追求するうち、DNAや結晶を取り入れた作品を制作するようになる。また、自身に向き合いながら自画像始め人物もテーマに制作している。\nアートは国を超え、人種を超えて共通の感覚や繋がりを持てると幼い頃より思っており、海外の方と交流したい、海外で個展をしたいと思っていたところ2015年ニューヨークCRSギャラリーで個展の機会を得る。\n内なる旅を続け、人との繋がりを感じながらアート制作を精力的に行い、日本国内、海外でも個展を計画中。 \nバイオグラフィ\n＜受賞歴＞\n2005年盛岡市芸術祭部門賞\n2008年岩手芸術祭部門賞\n2012年盛岡芸術祭会長賞\n＜展示歴＞\n2000年より毎年岩手県エスドアルト展出品\n2008年北海道帯広ギャラリーブンブンにてグループ展『発展号』\n2010年東京沼田絵本美術館にてグループ展『発展号』\n2011年より毎年テレビ岩手にてグループ展\n2015年仙台メディアテークにてグループ展\n他グループ展多数。\n2011年より二科展５年連続入選

SUMMARY:Sacred Sounds for Cosmic Consciousness
DESCRIPTION:Yunji Shin has been called to create sacred space for an intimate ritual performance for the activation and unlocking of higher consciousness for a circle of 10 people. The canyon-shaped White Room has been chosen for it’s acoustic properties and resonance. Through the sound immersion of crystalline frequencies and shamanic initiation\, we will tap into our psychic senses and enter non-ordinary reality to communicate to our Higher Selves and Angelic Realm in heightened awareness. There will be some group vocalizing to amplify the energy of the circle and its healing capacity. \nThis is a sound meditation in which we will expand our sense of reality beyond the finite to the infinite. It will be an alchemical circle of people who are going through a transitional period at this time and is ready to receive messages and activations from Source to illuminate their path at this current time. The Future is Now. This workshop is for people who are ready to experience metamorphosis into the next stage in life as the year comes to an end. Using sacred sounds will be a powerful way to tap into clear and focused intentions of what you are seeking and what you desire for yourself at this time and what you are ready to let go of in order to experience your own innate Truth and Freedom. SUMMARY:One Year Program Leading to Becoming an Interfaith Minister
DESCRIPTION:This program focuses upon the skills and knowledge needed to be a modern interfaith minister. By eliminating semester breaks and vacations\, the course is equipped to concentrate in one year a solid\, qualifying course in interfaith. \nUpon successful completion of the program\, students are ordained as ministers and are eligible to register legally as clergy. Thus\, graduates are eligible to add the honorific “Reverend” to any existing titles and honors they have achieved in their professions. \nThe program is provided as a series of monthly weekend classroom sessions at the Seminary’s office in New York City. Timely completion of monthly homework assignments is required. All students\, at the end of the course\, will be expected to attend a four-day retreat during which\, among other activities\, they will be given an oral examination based on the year’s studies. A thesis is also required. Ordination normally follows the day after the retreat. \nWe now have three tracks of study: \n1. The Comparative Religions Track \n2. A Course in Miracles Track and \n3. SUMMARY:Exhibition: Space Beyond — Speculative Works by Clouds AO
DESCRIPTION:CRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing) is delighted to announce an exhibition of designs by Clouds AO\, the award-winning designers of our new third-floor facilities. Their design for our White Room was recently named one of “nine yoga studios that achieve design nirvana” by HOMESTOLOVE magazine. The two-part\, floor-to-ceiling installation in this exhibition is intended to expand the window-less lobby space of CRS and create a vision of “Space Beyond” where speculative concepts are presented in architectural scale\, integrated into the underlying structure of the space. The exhibition opens Dec 23\, 2015 and runs through January 31\, 2016. An Opening Reception with Clouds AO architects Masayuki Sono and Ostap Rudakevych will be held on January 23\, 2016. \nCloud Skippers (North wall): \nImagine a community of adventurous pioneers who leave the Earth’s surface to drift and glide amongst the clouds in machine-like dwellings. By employing large wings\, Cloud Skippers hitch the constant winds of the jet stream\, lifting entire communities to the clouds. Cloud Skippers glean the bounties of the Earth’s atmosphere\, employing electricity-generating wind turbines along with large funnels for the collection rainwater. \nFive Twenty Minus Five (South wall): \nAfter fifty years in operation and retiring from its service\, we propose the 520 floating bridge located in Lake Washington in Seattle to be submerged five centimeters below water to transform it to subsurface pedestrian walkway\, next to its newly built traffic bridge. By enabling visitors to appear to be mysteriously treading on water\, the old 520 creates a unique experience that questions our relationship & create intimate collisions with nature. \nClouds AO Artist Statement \nArchitecture has become a discipline obsessed with form making. Our explorations focus on the potential of the immaterial. We are interested in the experiential qualities of architecture\, ways in which form and material can elicit lasting emotional or cognitive revelation. To achieve such an architecture requires careful attention to the unique parameters of each project. Research and analysis are distilled\, with relevant facts materialized. Our goal is to create conditions that allow for a resonant experience by the synthesis of ideas through design. \nClouds AO Profile \nClouds Architecture Office has produced a number of built and speculative projects distilled from research and analysis that explores the intersection between conceptual and experiential approaches to the built environment. Their work includes the publication of ‘Third Sphere\,’ an article describing a suspended city based on the principle of the space elevator (Kerb Journal\, 2012) and ‘Comet Runner‘ which envisioned harnessing a comet for interplanetary exploration (Dezeen\, 2015). In 2014\, they were nominated for the Iakov Chernikhov Prize\, and in 2015 Clouds AO received the American Institute of Architects New York Chapter Honor Award\, and First Prize in NASA’s Centennial Challenges: 3-D Printed Habitat for Mars.

DESCRIPTION:12月23日よりCRSギャラリーでは、CLOUDS AOによる” Space Beyond: Speculative works”の展示を行っています。CLOUDS AOにはCRSの３階の設計をしていただきました。ホワイトルームは　HOMESTOLOVE magazine　より、”もっともニルバーナに近いデザインの、理想的なヨガスタジオ世界ベスト９”の１つに選ばれました。壁一面を覆い尽くす壮大なスケールの作品は、窓のないCRSのロビーから新たな未知の世界へと引き込んでくれます。ぜひとも足をお運びください。そしてこの壮大で自由なスケールの想像力に包まれてごらんになってください。 \nオープニング・レセプションは、CRSニューイヤー・パーティのなかで行います。CLOUDS AO のお二人のインタビューも含まれます。\n1/23/2016　(土) 5 – 8pm \nスペース・ビヨンド \nクラウド・スキッパー（北側の壁）\n冒険好きな開拓者たちが地面を離れ、雲の中で飛行船のような家で風に揺れながら暮らす姿を想像してみてください。こうしたクラウド・スキッパーのコミュニティは巨大な凧のような翼と長いケーブルで繋がれ、悠久のジェットストリームにより空に浮かんでいます。彼らは風力エネルギーを利用し大きな漏斗で雨水を収集しながら、地球と成層圏の間にある膨大なスペースを利用するのです。 \n520マイナス５（南側の壁）\nシアトルのワシントン湖に掛かる『520 floating bridge』が築50年を経てその役目を終えることとなりました。我々はそれを、新しく隣に出来る車道用の浮き橋の横で水面から５センチだけ水没した歩行者用ブリッジとして再生することを提案します。訪れた人々をあたかも水上を歩いているかの様に神秘的に見せ、人と自然における創造的な関係を問うユニークな経験を生み出すことでしょう。 \nステイトメント\n現代における建築は物質的な形態に重きが置かれすぎているように感じます。私たちは目に見えないものの持つポテンシャルにより注目したいと思っています。それは空間の体験という形のない過程から引き出される気持ちや驚きといった中にあるとも言えます。その為には独自の要素・要求に対する細かな思考、リサーチと分析、それらを蒸留し必要なものを抽出するプロセスが重要となります。私たちが目指すのは、デザインを通した思考の化学反応により人々が共振する体験を生み出すことです。 \nバイオ\nClouds Architecture Officeはリサーチにより緻密に思考されたコンセプチュアルな体験を抽出する、現実と仮想の建築作品を数多く提案して来ました。出版作品には軌道エレベータの原理を応用した空中都市である”Third Sphere” (Kerb Journal\, 2012)や、惑星間移動に彗星を用いる構想である “Comet Runner”(Dezeen\, 2015)等の提案も含まれています。2014年Iakov Chernikhov建築賞ノミネート、2015年アメリカ建築家協会(AIA)ＮＹ支部Design Honor Award受賞、NASAによる火星有人探査基地の設計コンペで第１位受賞。 \n
