DESCRIPTION:CRSギャラリーでは、鞍井綾音の油絵による個展「 Small Voyage」を9月6日から10月20日まで開催いたします。\nオープニングレセプションは9月13日（木）6時30分より8時30分まで。予約不要、入場無料ですので大勢のご参加をお待ちしています。 \nこの展覧会の作品は、CRSが今まで展示してきたものと比べて大きいものの、彼女が描いたものの中では小さな作品です。幾重にも層を重ね、重々しくテクスチャーを施したこれらの表現主義的な油絵は、主題と抽象度が作品により異なります。\n彼女の作品を際立たせるのは、強烈な色とテクスチャー、色彩の喚起の緊迫感と十分に経験を積んだ人生の質感です。\n彼女にとって、CRSでは2回目の個展になります。 第一回目は2010年の「Yukoの春が来ました」。彼女の第一子の幼少期、第二子の誕生期に創作されたものですが、それは、友人でアーティストのYuko Sueta (末田裕子）の闘病を支えていた時期とも重なり、看取るまでの数年間、展示会をすることができませんでした。この個展を機に活動を増やし、その後数々の展示会で新しい作品を着実に発表してきました。 \n写真ーWomen March 2018 copyright © 2018 by Ayane Kurai. \n鞍井綾音 \nABOUT THE ARTIST\nAyane Kurai was born in 1969 in Hyogo\, Japan. The Yut game board depicts icons representing four gods\, 36 constellations and five animals encircling a star that represents the eternal. Movement around the board brings us into contact with the choices\, chance encounters\, friendships and challenges we meet throughout life. \nComposition by Hyo Jee Kang\nCo-work and movement by binbinFactory (Satoshi Haga and Rie Fukuzawa)\nOriginal composition by Hyo jee Kang and So-Ui Lee\nThe painting inspired by the Yut Nori game board\, printed on canvas\, is by Hyojee Kang and Wha Lee \n \nMirror \n韓国の詩人・Yi Sang (September 14\, 1910 – April 17\, 1937) による詩「Mirror」を題材にした音楽作品。 \nアーティスト紹介 \nHyo Jee Kang has been focusing on transformation between media and objects to create a new art form. She works with media artists and live electronic performers presenting improvisation and recomposed composition as well as her originals. Her activity as a composer\, performer\, creator and improviser has been featured throughout the world in Germany\, Spain\, Italy\, Korea\, Japan\, USA\, Israel\, and so on. Hyo Jee currently resides in New York City and serves as a faculty at Seoul National University. In May 2018\, she gave her solo performance with great success at Lincoln Center\, including the Conceptual Transformation Performance “Pyung Yang.” \nThis August she was one of 12 artists from around the world selected to particpate in Seminar in Taipei\, a platform for in-depth exchange in both theoretical and practical fields\, at the 2018 Taipei Arts Festival X in Taiwan. From 2000 to 2010\, she was a member and assistant principal player of the Contemporary Gukak Orchestra at the National Gukak Center\, the hub for training and preserving Korean traditional music. Amit’s focus is Hindustani Classical Vocal\, Thumri\, Dadra Rag Pradhan\, Bhajan\, and theoretical analysis of Indian Classical Music. \nBettina Sheppard: experimental vocals inspired by Celtic music and storytelling.\nBettina Sheppard is a Welsh-American singer and composer and also an Author\, Vocal Instructor\, Faculty at CCNY\, and Artistic Director of SAVA(Sheppard Academy of Vocal Arts ) www.sheppardacademy.com \nIzu Watanabe: 2D / 3D visual artist and graphic designer\nFor Majnun Party 6\, he is creating new Interactive Lithophane Art.\nhttp://izoo.net \nLulla LayLa: Japanese singer songwriter\, vocals and tanbur\nLulla LayLa (formerly Lulla Miyuki) is a Japanese Singer Songwriter\, Composer and Singer originally based in Tokyo\, Japan. Since 2000\, she has made her creative home in New York City. Lulla LayLa’s music has Japanese traditional elements combined with a psychedelic/contemporary world folk sensibility. Her music delivers haunting piano ballads about love and many other subjects. Since 2017\, she has also been composing songs with and accompany herself on the Kurdish tanbur. With this instrument\, her sound takes on an even more exotic folk sensibility. The theme of her songs/poems never changes\, but when writing for tanbur she does utilize a more simplified lyric with a repetitive structure that will leave a magical impression on your heart. You may also find these songs to be influenced by Sufi music. On several occasions audience members from different parts of the world have said to Lulla LayLa\, ” Your music makes me nostalgic because your music seems like my country’s music\,” even though she was not familiar with or hadn’t heard their country’s songs. She loves the idea of folk or devotional music bringing people together. Lulla LayLa says\, “We all know that the original songwriter of all lyrics and music is one\, as we all know that our original home country is one.” \nMaria Primavera de Jerez: Flamenco based music\, vocals and guitar\nMaria was born in Puerto de Santa María and grew up in Jerez de la Frontera\, the mecca of Flamenco\, Andalucía. She lived in Paris for seven years where she studied theater. Then she moved to New York where she began her career as a flamenco singer and as an actress. Maria has been singing and playing guitar since she was 12 and has been accompanied by great musicians. She has performed in public places such as Grand Central Station in NYC and an array of theaters in the U.S. such as La Mama Etc. in NYC\, as well as in Europe. She won an award as the most promising Latin actress in NYC. Maria has recently resumed her career as a singer and performer after spending some years in Andalucia getting back to her family and roots. \nRaif Hyseni: Albanian accordion player\nRaif Hyseni is the most famous Albanian accordion player in the world. Born in the town of Mitrovica\, Republic of Kosovo\, he went to elementary music school in Mitrovica\, then to music high school\, and to the Academy of Performing Arts\, at the University of Kosovo. He graduated from Caldwell College and got his Masters from Montclair State University in New Jersey. He is the founder of the first and only Albanian Balkan Ensemble in the USA where he works as an Adjunct Professor. As a young accordion player he performed for the Albanian National Radio and TV. Raif performed with maestro violin-player Isak Mucolli. Raif has written numerous songs and instrumental pieces for the accordion: “Fantasy for Accordion\,” “Tango Tirana\,” “Albanian in Japan\,” “Traveling through Albania\,” “One Song without words\,” “Accordion and Three Glasses\,” “Manhattan Chochek\,” “Pearls\,” etc. He has written music for theatre as well as for the documentary film “From Refuge to Immigrant.” He has performed at the Smithsonian Institute\, US Library of Congress\, John F. Kennedy Center\, Washington DC\, Lincoln Center\, New York\, Barbican Center\, London\, and at many other places in the USA\, Europe\, Asia\, and Australia. Raif is a winner of many different national and international awards. “Punctuated by speed demon on accordion” — The New York Times\, “Albania’s Ambassador” — The Star Ledger\, NJ \nSiddhartha Mehta: Art of Tabla\nSiddhartha Mehta is the founder of Art of Tabla\, Khartal\, Electrobones and Surya Records. He is an ambassador of Indian percussion\, specifically Tabla and Khartal.
