Exhibition: Celestial Mandala — Works on Paper by Heejung Kim
CRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing) 123 4th Ave, 3rd Fl, New YorkCRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing) presents “Celestial Mandala,” an exhibition featuring recent ink works on paper by Korean artist Heejung Kim. Her art is influenced by Tibetan Mandala paintings, especially by the patterns and symbols found in them. Her star-like images come from actual dreams she has had since her childhood. Using repetition like the mantras in meditation, Heejung pushes her creative visions into a hypnotic space carrying the viewer into a surreal sense of illusion and the feeling of moving through a vast void. Persian Daf (スーフィードラム) クラス
CRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing) 123 4th Ave, 3rd Fl, New YorkCRSでは、Kamyar Arsaniのペルシャのdaf（スーフィードラム）レッスンをほぼ毎月のペースで行っています。このレッスンは、イランの達人から学び受けた、もう一人の達人から魔法の楽器を演奏することを学ぶ素晴らしい機会です。 Kamyarは何十年もの間演奏し歌い続け、そして最近ではCRSで行われるスーフィーダンスのイベントのために参加してくれています。。 dafは大きなフレームドラムで、内側にたくさんのリングが付いています。演奏したときにリングが揺れてさらに音の効果が上がります。この音の効果が多様なサウンドを作り出しトランス状態へと誘導するので、スーフィーとペルシャ音楽にとってdafは不可欠な要素なのです。 基本的なテクニックを一緒に学びませんか？ そして、9月に予定された次のスーフィーナイトのイベントでご一緒に演奏しましょう！ 10:30 am – 11:45 am Beginner lesson 11:45 am – 1 pm Intermediate lesson 1 lesson $50 both lessons $70 Bring your own Daf or frame drum, a pen & a 3–line or 5–line blank musical staff notebook (or paper, which you can find templates of online to print).
