For the next 4 weeks let’s practice receiving and sharing spiritual guidance from the voice of love inside our minds.\u00a0
\nWe’ll begin each session with a guided meditation to prepare our minds to connect with our inner guide.\u00a0Then we’ll practice asking for and receiving guidance for ourselves and one another.
\nThere is a suggested donation of $20, and class may run past 9 pm depending on the number of people attending and amount of discussion.
\nOur primary goal is to learn to recognize the voice of love’s guidance that is always available to us \u2014\u00a0but which we usually block out! Slowly, we will re-train our eyes to see the world around us as one that is always presenting opportunities for us to give and receive love.
\nFeel free to bring in specific issues that you would like to receive guidance about!
\nThis class is appropriate for beginners and for advanced students. It’s kind of like going to gym \u2014 no matter your fitness level, practice is the key to growth.
\nFamiliarity with the Course or experience with meditation or improvisation is not required. All that is required is a sense of curiosity and a willingness to explore and play!
\nStudents of the Course will appreciate this class as a lab for developing our ability to dialog with the Holy Spirit (the Course\u2019s name for the inner voice or guide who also speaks from the point of view of the thought system that recognizes that only love exists). That said,\u00a0familiarity with the Course is not required. Believing in “God” or familiarity with the concept of an “inner voice”\u00a0is not even required. All that is required is a sense of curiosity and a willingness to explore and play.
\nInstructor Christopher Pelham is the Director and a co-founder of CRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing). He balances his time between overseeing the growth and health of the CRS community, producing arts\/cultural\/educational events at the Center, and working as a CRS Healer\u00a0and student and teacher of A Course in Miracles.\u00a0He has previously also worked in educational publishing and as a web designer, writer\/editor,\u00a0actor (most notably for several seasons\u00a0with Doris Duke Impact Award Winner Johnny Simons at the Hip Pocket Theatre in Ft. Worth, TX and with artists Richard Bach, Harold Lehmann, and\u00a0Lake Simons in NYC), producer and videographer. He graduated from Duke University in 1991 with a degree in English. In addition to studying ACIM off and on with Yasuko Kasaki since 2003, he studied the Spiritual Psychology of Acting with London-based teacher John Osborne Hughes and Jay Johnstone-based Improvisation with the late Gloria Maddox.
