CRS (Center for Remembering & Sharing) presents the\u00a0solo performance\u00a0BALDY\u00a0by\u00a0Yokko.\u00a0BALDY is\u00a0a\u00a0fearless, funny and intimate, nine-character,\u00a0one-woman show looking backing on writer\/performer Yokko’s traumatic experience of losing her hair\u00a0\u2014 and then most of her skin \u2014\u00a0at age 19.\u00a0Refusing to see herself as a victim, she chose instead to explore the roots of her dis-ease, eventually discovering\u00a0her true strength and beauty \u2014 and her father’s love.
\nPerformances will take place at CRS on Friday and Saturday, January 24 & 25, 2014 at 8 pm and Sunday, January 26\u00a0at 3 pm. General admission tickets are $20. Tickets for students and seniors with valid ID are\u00a0$15 at the door. $15 early-bird tickets are available through Jan 19.

About Yokko
\nYokko\u00a0(performer & writer) is an actor & a movement artist from Japan, came to the United States to study theatre in Oregon and Albany. She received her MFA in Acting from the Actors Studio Drama School in New York City. Her Credits include\u00a0BALDY (Hollywood Fringe Festival2013,\u00a0Fringe NYC 2012), BUTOH Electra\u00a0(Irondale Center & Fringe NYC 2011),\u00a0The Woolgatherer, The Producers\u00a0(ASDS Repertory season),\u00a0Odyssey\u00a0(The Wings Theatre) and\u00a0Othello\u00a0(Looking Glass Theatre). Dance Credits include:\u00a0FACET\u00a0(Hollywood Fringe Festival 2013), Autumn Leaves (KGB Show, Kraine Theatre), and many others. She is a member of The Ume Group, and VOID Theatre Company in NYC. She is also founder of JPAC (Japanese Performing Arts Company), and has shared Japanese culture through classical Japanese dance and stage combat within drama.\u00a0
