CRS is proud to support the New York Japan CineFest!\u00a0Highlighting some of the most exciting new voices in cinema, New York Japan CineFest is an annual event that features works by emerging Japanese and Japanese American filmmakers. Two programs of short films are presented in this year\u2019s edition.\u00a0Program 1<\/a>\u00a0on Thursday, June 2 is followed by a reception.\u00a0Program 2<\/a>\u00a0on Friday, June 3 is followed by a discussion.<\/p>\n

Tickets: $8 members; $10 students\/seniors; $12 nonmembers.\u00a0Co-presented by Asia Society and\u00a0Mar Creation, Inc.\u00a0Part of Citi series on Asian Arts and Culture.<\/p>\n

While all the films are worthy and interesting, we\u2019d like to single out \u00a0\u201cAmongst\u201d by Chisa Hidaka, which opens program 2. Dr. Hidaka is world renowned for her work studying and dancing with dolphins and has previously presented at CRS. Her under water\u00a0dancing, her communication and connection with the dolphins, and her ability to capture this on screen\u00a0is breathtaking, and inspiring in the way that she brings together her professional experience and artistic ability and passions to create a unique and fulfilling path for herself that she can share with\u00a0her fellow humans.<\/p>\n
