CRSでは、5月10日午後8時より、『クロシング・バウンダリー コンサート・シリーズ：フォー・システムズ』を開催致します。同シリーズの2019年度シーズン第1回目（通算4回目）となる今回は、出演者の一人でもあるジュンイ・チョーによって精選された、4つの異なる文化をバックグランドに持つ4人のアーティスト　―　清水チャートリー（日本：笙）、ガミン（韓国：ピリ）、ユン・ズオ・ガン（中国： 楊琴）、そしてジュンイ・チョー（マレイシア：チェロ）、　―　をフィーチャー。いずれも、メイヘム（混乱）の中に隠された調和を表現した、その大胆なインプロビゼーション演奏で高い評価を得ているアーティストで、それぞれの文化にインスピレーションを受けた4曲を、彼ら自身が選んだ想像性に満ちたビジュアル・シンボルと共に演奏します。 演奏者の背後に投影されるこれらのビジュアル・シンボルは、観客が自分の目前で編み出される音楽と視覚的に繋がり、さらに演奏を通して、パフォーマンス・スペースに共在する作曲家、演奏者、そして観客の一人一人が、そのような繋がりが生まれるプロセスに参加することを可能にしてくれます。 コンサート終了後、出演アーティストとの質疑応答セッションも予定されています。 ************ Tickets are $25 in advance $30 at the door. This performance employs both Korean traditional music (Yeonsanheosang, one of the most representative Korean traditional court music compositions) and contemporary art (mandala paintings) inspired by Buddhism.
