LGBTQ and everyone welcome Meditation group

An event every week that begins at 6:30 pm on Friday, repeating until March 27日, 2020

Starting a GLBTQ and everyone is welcome and safe MEDITATION group on Friday Nights from 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm in a gorgeous meditation space on Union Square, followed by a optional social at Think Coffee, a local restaurant or the park if weather permits.
The sessions take 1h30 minutes.
This is the format: first 15 minutes people install themselves and Luc gives a short introduction on what meditation is and how to proceed, as there are always new people. Then we go into silent meditation for 40 minutes (challenging enough for beginners and just long enough for more experienced meditators). At about minute 55, there is time for Q and A, 20 minutes. Then we break the group till the next week. No one should come in the room after the meditation time starts till the 40 minutes are over. If you have a major cough, please also refrain from attending for that week.
This group welcomes all or no traditions, and although Luc gently guides beginners, everyone is invited to meditate the way they prefer. It is silent meditation, with a gong and yourself to explore the inside reality.
Luc is an experienced meditator, who starts every day with a 40 minutes meditation and attends silent meditation retreats regularly. It has transformed his life.
Of course this is all at no charge to anyone and offered as service to the community. There will be a collection box at the door, to pay the rental of the space and incidentals. $5,- is the suggested donation, more if you can, less if you can’t.
The space has chairs, yoga blocks and some mats available, but feel free to take your own meditation cushion if you prefer. It is requested to take off your shoes in the meditation studio, so wear clean socks !
