Rita Holcberg’s Artist Statement:
“Please, come in…”
My painting originates from the impressions of the world around me, being digested, processed and then transported spontaneously to the canvas.
One voice speaking artistically in many different languages.
Color is my medium.
I am very thankful for having lived in different countries: Argentina, Brazil and the United States.
These cultures, places and their people developed and enriched my life experience.
My art is an expression of a lifetime journey among diversity and an invitation for visiting some of these worlds and their creatures.
Design, fashion and the love for the arts are the background where I trained my “eye” developing a sense of rhythm, balance, and shape.
Curiosity challenged my perception looking always for the unknown and the unexpected.
Still ready to travel the roads less traveled!!
“Please, come in… ”
